1 March 2023 London: SF Group is pleased to announce that its business in Uganda has been accredited by the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) Uganda as an approved training institution, with the DIT issuing a Certification to SF Group for its local training and assessment centre.
The accreditation comes after DIT interviews with local SF Group instructors, the Group Head of Training and with the Executive Director of the SF Group (Uganda). Interviews and examination were focused on course content and their standing as internationally accredited training courses, in particular to ensure SF Group is able to enhance best practice within Uganda’s industry-based enterprises. In addition the DIT Assistant Commissioner for Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) reviewed SF Group offerings to ensure compliance to local regulations for health and safety in meeting learner’s needs, and reaffirming SF Group’s collaboration with government and local communities in offering courses geared towards improving workers performance and productivity.
SF Group Head of Training Peter Musembi noted the certification is the result of a long process supported by a wide number of people in the company. He said “the approvals from the appointed government regulators of training institutions and OSH in Uganda demonstrates our commitment to the highest levels of performance in delivering internationally recognised qualifications. Students will benefit from having access to bespoke training packages adjusted in accordance with their needs and local circumstances, but especially from having globally tracked qualifications which they can use anywhere.”
